Bourbon Vanilla Pear

Since leaving Paris for Canada, I have carried a longing for the perfect vanilla pear tea, my most beloved fruit tea, bursting with juicy and creamy flavours of vanilla and pear. I sorely missed as I was unable to find in Canada an equally satisfying beverage I experienced exquisitely in the City of Light. So, this is a reenactment of my French pear hot brew fantasy.

Pear is a symbol of affection in many cultures. Originating from China, it has historically symbolized immortality, comfort and prosperity as a result of pear trees enduring lifespans. Ancient Greeks associated pear to goddess Hera, the wife of Zeus and symbol of wives and fidelity in marriage and its shape inspired represented the female form in the arts, as a symbol of femininity and fruitfulness. In Korea and later in European countries such as France and England, pear symbolized grace and nobility.

Built on a robust English breakfast and Turkish black tea blend, and embellished with earthy floral chocolatey safflower petals, this gourmand vanilla pear tea is classic yet very unique!

We scented our tea with Grade A Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans, in-house Bourbon vanilla extract and our own accord of organic natural pear flavour combined with jammy and tangy fruit flavours, to offer the best gourmand pear in our opinion.

Base: Black tea blend
Essential oil and flavour accord: Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans (Grade A), in-house Bourbon vanilla bean extract (Grade A and B), organic pear flavour blend.
Botanical inclusions: Organic South Africa pear pieces, superior Egyptian safflower petals.

Vegan, no artificial flavours or preservatives.

Steeping: Add 0.5 teaspoon of tea per cup in filtered boiled water (212°F) and steep for 3-5 minutes.

How-to: Prepare your pear vanilla like a regular tea afternoon or enjoy it as a latte with almond milk. You can also make a nice infusion or an ice tea by reducing the steeping to less than 3 minutes.

Your pear vanilla treat will accompany nicely any dessert or sweet, chocolates, cheeses and even salads garnished with fruits.
