Story

Literature is where everything started for me. From my love of books to studying in the field of literature and working in the translation industry, I always had a cup of tea to accompany my reading and writing routine. Hence, I thought that I should pay tribute to my passion for literature with a collection of teas dedicated to writers and thinkers.

As a matter of fact, tea occupies an integral position in the writing routines of countless authors. A cup of this revered brew often graced the desks of great literary figures in tea-centric cultures such as England and Russia. We can mention renowned writers such as Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Chekhov, and numerous others.

We chose to name the introductory tea to our collection, "Incipit". In Latin, it means "It begins" and refers to the opening sentence of a book functioning as a distinctive label, similar to the popular phrase "Once upon a time" found in folklore. Among the best opening lines in fiction, we can mention “Happy families are all alike; unhappy families are all unhappy in their own way" in Anna Karenina by Tolstoy (1978), or "Time and again, I have gone to bed early”, in In Search of Lost Time Past by Marcel Proust (1913–1927). So, hopefully, you will enjoy this blend made with yerba mate and adaptogen plants.
